In strictly limited quantities, we have managed to obtain some of the oak timbers that were removed from HMS Victory as part of the refit that was undertaken in preparation for her role in last year's ceremonies. Most of it was cut up in the process of removal, making its original place on board unidentifiable, but we do have this large "knee", of the type that ties the gundecks to the hull frames and planking. Many of the cut copper rivets (originally up to two feet long) that joined the parts are still protruding from it.

It is 5ft tall, 2ft wide and weighs approx 500-lb. It is officially certified by Lt Cmdr Scivier (commanding officer HMS Victory). Only four complete knees were removed, so it is extremely rare and can only increase in value with time. Please call our Mail Order Department on 0800 975 1805.
