The Ring Nelson Exchanged with Emma
£125.00
A pair of gold rings, formed as clasped hands, were exchanged by Admiral Lord Nelson and his mistress Lady Emma Hamilton as tokens of their undying love. Though they never married, their love proved enduring and Nelson was wearing Emma's ring when he died aboard HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Our interpretation is a ladies ring, consisting of two interlocking clasped hands, one in 9ct gold and one in contrasting white rhodium-plated 9ct gold, worn together. Hallmarked.
