Help Restore 'Lucy Lavers' - A Heroic Dunkirk Little Ship
from £5.00

2010 saw the 70th anniversary of The Dunkirk evacuation, codenamed Operation Dynamo, when 338,266 soldiers were rescued by the hastily assembled fleet of 850 boats. In rememberance of this historic event a flotilla of these extraordinary boats will sail again to Dunkirk, accompanied by the Royal Navy.
The Dunkirk Little Ships Restoration Trust has two simple aims, first to acquire Dunkirk Little Ships in danger of destruction and remove them to a place of safety, and second to encourage the boatbuilding and conservation skills necessary to restore them.
Your donations will help restore Lucy Lavers (shown in image) an ex RNLI lifeboat that served in Dunkirk between 26 May-4 June 1940.
You can read more about the Dunkirk Little Ships Restoration Trust and Lucy Lavers in our Captain's Log pages. Thank you for your generosity.
