Sleek as a stiletto, graceful as a swan, this is Concorde as few ever saw her. Photographed in 1985 from the rear seat of a Tornado fighter - which, running low on fuel had trouble matching the 1350mph pace - this was the 'beautiful bird' doing what she did supremely well.

The photograph, signed by Chief Concorde Pilot Mike Bannister and photographer Adrian Meredith, is a fitting tribute to a truly iconic aircraft - an example of the finest in British* aviation.

Framed, ready to display, and presented with a Certificate of Authenticity, our Limited Edition Mach Concord print is a wonderful reminder of what many believe was the ultimate in air travel.

Frame size 26x19".

*Oh, alright...and French too.

Adrian Meredith

Adrian Meredith has been an aviation photographer for more than 25 years and has won many prestigious awards. Whilst working as the senior in-house photographer for British Airways he made the suggestion of launching four Concordes in succession to create various airborne formation images. BA loved the idea but arranging for all four Concordes to be available at the same time presented quite a challenge! Adrian was also given the prestigious assignment of photographing the Queen Mother on Concorde to celebrate her 85th Birthday.

Concorde

Concorde made her first test flight on 2 March 1969, and 'went supersonic' on 1 October the same year. She then entered service with British Airways and Air France in 1976 and took her last commercial flight on 24 October 2003, having completed over 50,000 flights.
